Tory and Ryan have such a lovely way with one another, they are so easygoing and loving and when they look at each other it’s as if no one else is in the room. I had met with Tory and her mom to talk about wedding photography prior to our session, and I have known their family for some time, but it was my first time meeting Ryan. He is such a gentleman, and so sweet with his future bride. I had so much fun with these two because they obviously are the type of couple that have fun no matter what they are doing and they laugh easily… which is just the best. We started our time at Southern Methodist University which is Ryan’s alma mater, went from there to Highland Park Village and finished the day with a pink sunset at Arbor Hills Nature Preserve. All of this effort was more than worth it, and I think we captured the love and romance between these two pretty well… It’s pretty magical. I am so looking forward to their March wedding!
About Tamytha Cameron
Tamytha has been looking at the world from behind a lens for over 20 years and is rarely happier than when working to create beautiful images. Her passion is photographing people. Almost everyone who has worked with her has said that she made the process easy and fun, which is ironic considering she is somewhat of an introvert. She is a person of faith and makes it her mission to do all things with love, and to approach every new client and project that way. She shoots weddings, events, and portraits alongside her daughter Celeste, who is equally creative and a romantic just like her mother.
Tamytha has a Masters degree in Art History and a long history of working in the fine arts community. For several years, she has worked with the Dallas Museum of Art and the Meadows Museum, two of her most beloved clients. She has been listed with a select number of other Dallas Photographers in Paper City’s Blue Book for Brides, is a Wedding Wire Couple’s Choice Award Winner, and has been featured on various national wedding blogs.
She is Minnesota born and South Dakota raised, but will tell you without hesitation that she is a Texan. This is evidenced by the fact that she rarely (if ever) goes a week without eating Mexican food and owns at least four pairs of cowboy boots. As a Cameron, she has a strong connection to Scotland which is the land of her not-so-distant ancestors. Having traveled there twice, she left a part of her heart in the Highlands and has a passion for all things Scottish that she can’t really explain. She loves yoga, fashion, and the great outdoors, and has a wanderlust that has her endlessly dreaming about her next adventure.
She is a mother to two gorgeous 20-something’s, Celeste and Medora, and you can find her in Dallas where she lives with her one-eared cat Daisy and her beloved Jeep.
