I love shooting bridal sessions, I really do. But I always get a bit nervous before each one as there is something almost sacred about the bridal gown, and being one of the first to see the bride in that once in a lifetime dress. It adds so much gravitas to the goal of getting it right… just right. It’s such an honor to be trusted with these kinds of memories, and I always imagine what these images will mean to the bride and groom, and the family that the two of them coming together create. Karina is a beautiful girl… and an absolutely stunning bride. The gown she chose is such a classic, and it will definitely stand the test of time. She is an veritable vision in lace. We chose two locations, the always lovely Warwick Melrose Hotel… and the adorable Dragon Park, which just radiates with romantic mystery.
About Tamytha Cameron
Tamytha has been looking at the world from behind a lens for over 20 years and is rarely happier than when working to create beautiful images. Her passion is photographing people. Almost everyone who has worked with her has said that she made the process easy and fun, which is ironic considering she is somewhat of an introvert. She is a person of faith and makes it her mission to do all things with love, and to approach every new client and project that way. She shoots weddings, events, and portraits alongside her daughter Celeste, who is equally creative and a romantic just like her mother.
Tamytha has a Masters degree in Art History and a long history of working in the fine arts community. For several years, she has worked with the Dallas Museum of Art and the Meadows Museum, two of her most beloved clients. She has been listed with a select number of other Dallas Photographers in Paper City’s Blue Book for Brides, is a Wedding Wire Couple’s Choice Award Winner, and has been featured on various national wedding blogs.
She is Minnesota born and South Dakota raised, but will tell you without hesitation that she is a Texan. This is evidenced by the fact that she rarely (if ever) goes a week without eating Mexican food and owns at least four pairs of cowboy boots. As a Cameron, she has a strong connection to Scotland which is the land of her not-so-distant ancestors. Having traveled there twice, she left a part of her heart in the Highlands and has a passion for all things Scottish that she can’t really explain. She loves yoga, fashion, and the great outdoors, and has a wanderlust that has her endlessly dreaming about her next adventure.
She is a mother to two gorgeous 20-something’s, Celeste and Medora, and you can find her in Dallas where she lives with her one-eared cat Daisy and her beloved Jeep.
